La Paz .- Bolivian President Evo Morales has received from the last weekend of preventive medical treatment against influenza A, said the national director of epidemiology, Eddy Martinez.

"She is receiving daily capsules of Tamiflu and the treatment will last about 10 days. It is a preventive treatment after learning that the president of Colombia (Alvaro Uribe) contracted this evil", told reporters.

Morales participated last week in the presidential summit of UNASUR held in Argentina.

"President Morales has no symptoms of the disease. Medical treatment is preventive. No other member contracted the bad in Argentina," he said.

The health authorities of Bolivia confirmed the deaths of about 21 people for influenza A and today educational sessions were resumed in the department of Santa Cruz, one of the most affected by the disease.
