Abstract

Paediatric inflammatory multisystem syndrome associated with severe acute respiratory syndrome-coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2) infection (PIMS-TS) is defined as 'a child presenting with persistent fever, inflammation and evidence of single or multi-organ dysfunction with additional features which include a rash'.[SUP]1[/SUP] The World Health Organisation's (WHO) definition further includes a 'rash or bilateral non-purulent conjunctivitis or muco-cutaneous inflammation signs'.[SUP]2[/SUP] Previously reported mucocutaneous manifestations (MCM) in PIMS-TS have been vague. This study aimed to delineate the MCM of children presenting with PIMS-TS in more detail.
