One person died from the Influenza A H1N1 virus in Salvador. This is the record is the first of the year in the state. The information was disclosed in a bulletin by the Health Secretariat of the State of Bahia (Sesab), on Thursday (29). The state has, in total, three occurrences of Influenza, one of type A H1N1 and two per Influenza B. The state folder did not detail if the victim is included in these three cases.

Second death due to H1N1 confirmed in Salvador

A 3-year-old boy was the second fatal H1N1 flu victim in Salvador this year. After seven days in a private hospital, the child died on April 27 and had not been vaccinated. The Municipal Health Department (SMS) stated that this case shows the importance of vaccination of priority groups, as was the case of the victim.

In March, another 10-year-old boy died of H1N1 complications, and SMS reported 163 cases of severe acute respiratory syndrome, which can be caused by bacteria and viruses. Of these cases, two tested positive for influenza B and two for H1N1.

Bahia has 25 deaths from respiratory diseases in 2019; 17 were registered in Salvador

Twenty-five people died in Bahia this year with some form of Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome (SARS). The data was released on Thursday (23), by the Department of Health of Bahia (Sesab) and corresponds to the week epidemiol
According to the Sesab bulletin, of the 25 deaths, four were for H1N1, three for H3N2 Influenza, one for Parainfluenza I, three deaths are being investigated and in 14 deaths there was no virus identification.
Among the 417 municipalities in Bahia, 55 recorded cases of SARS. The municipality with the largest registry was Salvador, with 297 cases, which corresponds to 63.6% of the total number of cases reported in the state. The capital of Bahia also had the highest number of deaths, with 17 cases.

Salvador registers nine deaths for H1N1

One more death caused by flu complications in Salvador was confirmed today (24). The victim was a 69-year-old man from the Brotas neighborhood. According to the Health Department of Salvador (SMS), the man who was part of the risk group did not get vaccinated. Two-year-old child dies of influenza; rises to 10 the number of cases

Another death from the flu virus was confirmed this Friday, 30, by the Municipal Health Secretariat (SMS). This time, the fatal victim was a two-year-old child, a resident of the Pau da Lima neighborhood, who, according to the agency, was hospitalized in a private hospital and died on the 24th.

With this death, the number of deaths in the capital of Bahia caused by the complications of the disease rises to 10, where, eight deaths were recorded only in the month of May.This is the third child fatal victim of influenza. In addition, a 55-year-old man, five elderly (73, 81.97, 62, and 69) and a five-month-old baby also had complications in the disease and did not resist.
