On Monday (22), the Ministry of Health released the most recent balance of cases and deaths caused by the new coronavirus (covid-19) in Brazil. The information was updated at 6:30 pm and passed on by the State Health Secretariats across the country.

Altogether there are 51,271 deaths and 1,106,470 confirmed cases of the disease. About 483,550 patients are undergoing medical follow-up. In the last 24 hours, 21,432 new cases of the disease were confirmed.

Brazil also recorded 571,649 cases of people cured of the new coronavirus (covid-19).

Regarding deaths, in the last 24 hours, 654 new deaths were registered in the official systems of the Government of Brazil, most of which occurred in other periods. Only 267 deaths occurred in the last three days.

Also according to data from the Ministry of Health, there are still a total of 3,912 deaths that are being investigated.

This Thursday (18), the Ministry of Health released the latest balance of cases and deaths caused by the new coronavirus ( covid-19 ) in Brazil. Altogether there are 53,830 deaths and 1,188,631 confirmed cases of the disease.
The information was updated at 6:30 pm and passed on by the State Health Secretariats across the country. According to the data, about 484,893 patients are undergoing medical follow-up. In the last 24 hours, 42,725 new cases of the disease were confirmed.
Brazil also recorded 649,908 cases of people cured of the new coronavirus (covid-19). The lethality rate is 4.5%.
Regarding deaths, in the last 24 hours, 1,185 new deaths were registered in the official systems of the Government of Brazil, most of which occurred in other periods. Of the total, 486 deaths were confirmed in the last three days and another 3,904 cases are still under investigation.

Brazil overcomes 1.5 million cases of covid-19
The country accumulates 63,174 deaths and 1,539,081 infections, with 1,290 deaths and 42,223 new cases in 24 hours. According to the Ministry of Health, 868,372 people recovered and 607,535 are being monitored.


The National Council of Health Secretaries (Conass) and the Ministry of Health recorded 1,290 deaths from covid-19 in the last 24 hours, bringing the total number of deaths officially identified until this Friday (07/03) to 63,174.

Brazil had 42,223 new cases and now has 1,539,081 infections with the new coronavirus. The lethality rate of the disease in the country is 4.1%. In the assessment by group of 100 thousand inhabitants, the country has a mortality rate of 30.1 and the incidence rate is 732.4.

The most affected states are still S?o Paulo (with 310,702 cases and 15,694 deaths) and Rio de Janeiro (118,956 cases and 10,500 deaths).

According to the Ministry of Health, 868,372 people recovered from the disease and 607,535 cases are being followed up.

Several health authorities and institutions across the country have warned that the real numbers of the disease are expected to be higher due to the lack of large-scale testing and underreporting.

On Monday (6), the agency released a new balance sheet. According to the folder, there were 620 new deaths and 20,229 new cases, totaling 65,487 deaths and 1,623,289 cases since the beginning of the pandemic.

Brazil has 1,312 deaths by Covid in the last 24 hours, says press consortium


Brazil had 1,312 deaths registered due to the new coronavirus in 24 hours and has 1,674,655 million confirmed cases, according to a survey carried out by the consortium of press vehicles based on data from the state health departments on Tuesday (6) . There are 66,868 deaths caused by Covid-19 in the country in total. See the data, consolidated at 20h:

66,868 deaths; there were 65,556 until 8 pm this Monday (6th); a difference of 1,312 deaths. This is the fourth largest record of deaths in 24 hours in the country since the pandemic began. On June 4, 1,471 deaths were recorded.
1,674,655 confirmed cases; there were 1,626,071 infected by Monday night, that is, there was an increase of 48,584 infected.

Before this assessment, the consortium released two partial bulletins, at 8 am and 1 pm. In the afternoon bulletin, the country reached 1,643,539 confirmed cases and 66,093 deaths. Earlier, with the data made available at 8 am, Brazil had 65,631 deaths and 1,628,283 confirmed cases.

Brazil had 1,187 deaths registered due to the new coronavirus in 24 hours and has 1,716,196 million confirmed cases, according to a survey carried out by the consortium of press vehicles based on data from the state health departments on Wednesday (8) . There are 68,055 deaths caused by Covid-19 in the country in total. See the data, consolidated at 20h:

68,055 deaths; there were 66,868 until 8 pm this Tuesday (7); a difference of 1,187 deaths.
1,716,196 confirmed cases; there were 1,674,655 infected by Tuesday night, that is, there was an increase of 41,541 infected.

In comparison to the bulletin the day before, the Health Department of Acre did not release its daily balance sheet until 8 pm this Wednesday and was left out. The numbers will enter the bulletin on Thursday (9).

Before this assessment, the consortium released two partial bulletins, at 8 am and 1 pm. In the afternoon bulletin, the country reached 1,683,738 confirmed cases and 67,113 deaths. Earlier, with the data made available at 8 am, Brazil had 66,887 deaths and 1,674,929 confirmed cases.

Consortium of press vehicles

Data on coronavirus cases and deaths in Brazil were obtained after an unprecedented partnership between G1, O Globo, Extra, O Estado de S.Paulo, Folha de S.Paulo and UOL, which started to work since June 8 , collaboratively to gather the necessary information in the 26 states and the Federal District.

The goal is for Brazilians to be able to know how the evolution and the total number of deaths caused by Covid-19 is, in addition to the consolidated numbers of tested cases with positive results for the new coronavirus.

The partnership between the media was made in response to the Jair Bolsonaro government's decision to restrict access to data on the Covid-19 pandemic. Personalities from the political and legal world, together with entities representing professionals and the press, praised the initiative.

Changes made by the Ministry of Health to the publication of its pandemic balance sheet reduced for a few days the quantity and quality of the data. First, the disclosure time, which was at 5 pm in the administration of Minister Luiz Henrique Mandetta (until April 17), passed to 7 pm and then to 10 pm. This Tuesday (7), the agency released a new balance sheet. According to the folder, there were 1,254 new deaths and 43,305 new cases, totaling 66,741 deaths and 1,668,589 cases since the beginning of the pandemic - numbers lower than those determined by the consortium.
