[h=1]Health records second death from influenza flu this year[/h]
The Department of Health registered the second death by respiratory virus influenza A H3 this year. The victim is a 52-year-old woman with chronic illness. The information is in the Flu Epidemiological Bulletin No. 5. The first case, confirmed at the end of April, was also of a woman, but of 43 years. In 2016, in the same period, 12 deaths were recorded - 10 of them related to influenza A H1N1, one per adenovirus and the other by metapneumovirus.
To date, 221 cases of Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome have been reported, of which 65 have been confirmed. There has still been no confirmed occurrence of H1N1 in this year. According to Helo?sa Ara?jo, Director of Epidemiological Surveillance of the Secretariat, all confirmed cases of respiratory virus syndrome, so far, are included in the seasonal period.
