Of all the diseases that affect children, bronchopneumonia was the leading cause of infant death. It is the disease that kills more children in 12 months. In recent years it has become the leading cause of death in the age group of up to one years of age.
It is the inflammation of the lower respiratory tract (bronchioles and fine alveolar sacs of the lungs) due to an infection that usually is caused by germs (viruses and bacteria).
Arises as a complication of other serious respiratory illnesses such as colds, bad care, influenza, bronchitis. This inflammation produces severe pulmonary and respiratory disorders if not treated timely, cause death very quickly.
Acute respiratory infections, according to the anatomical structure that affect, are classified into high and low, taking as a starting point and a limit of the larynx.
Thus, respiratory tract diseases are the highest common cold and those who commit ears, tonsils, sinus cavities, nasal and larynx.
These infections of the respiratory tract, while not directly generate mortality must be addressed with particular care, because their primary improper handling easily leads to a lower respiratory tract infection, which is very dangerous.
The flu, for example, which occurs periodically in times of cold and undertakes much of the population at least in big cities, it fosters the spread of the virus, which is by neighborhood, person to person by droplets saliva secretion and dirty hands.
