Nile fever took first victim in Bulgaria

First victim of West Nile virus has been registered in the country after a mosquito bite.
Died 50-year-old from Sofia, said yesterday the chief health inspector Dr. Angel Kunchev and specify that man died at the Infectious Diseases Clinic of the Military Medical Academy in Sofia, where he was urgently admitted with severe headache, fever and fatigue. Testing of samples at the National Center of Infectious and Parasitic Diseases found that the man is a carrier of the insidious virus.
The patient had a severe form of diabetes, and pulmonary failure. Of these immune system was weakened, and the plague have collapsed completely and husband developed brain encephalitis, pointed to "Monitor" Dr. Kunchev, who says that if he is not suffering from chronic diseases would survive.
This is the second case
of infected with West Nile virus in the country in 2015. The first was in May, when the virus was detected in 7-year-old boy. The child was cured with medication, as applied in influenza, but antibiotics were written, because it was developed bacterial infection.
