Calgary elementary school reports several cases of H1N1 flu

On the same day the H1N1 flu virus was declared a global pandemic, a northeast Calgary elementary school is reporting three cases of the virus.
Blessed Kateri catholic school sent letters home Thursday to parents telling them about the swine flu situation.
It's the first school in Calgary to report several cases of the virus.
Janet Sutherland, a spokeswoman for the Calgary Catholic School District, tells 660News the infected individuals have been isolated at home and the school is taking other precautions.
The school has implemented control measures to reduce transmission of the virus, including enhanced environmental cleaning and disinfecting.
More than 250 students attend the elementary school and Sutherland is asking parents not to panic.
If you have a child who attends Blessed Kateri school, a public health nurse will call you if he or she, is identified as being a close contact of the case.
Symptoms of swine flu are similar to those of regular seasonal flu and include fever, nausea, sore throat, a cough, and muscle aches.
