"More than 433 Ambazonia detainees at Buea Central Prison face deadly illnesses after taking a meal that was served to them yesterday in prison. They need urgent medical care, which should be followed by their unconditional release.
Indeed, those who ate prison food developed complications that forced them to go to the toilet periodically all night until late in the morning. Since there is only one toilet per ward, some inmates shredded on their clothes, others defecated in buckets, while others used wrapping paper.
Queues and fights in front of the washroom caused a lot of disturbances all night long. It was about seven o'clock in the morning when they [the prison authorities] opened the door for some to rush to the open public latrines.
