Student ill with TB, U of S wants hundreds tested

Administrators and health officials have sent emails to 589 people who were classmates or professors of the infected student, who was diagnosed with active TB earlier this week.

"The risk of infection to other students, faculty and staff who have not been in close contact is low, so there is no cause for alarm," Saskatoon Health Region deputy medical health officer Dr. Julie Kryzanowski wrote in a more general letter distributed across campus Friday...
