Cerebral malaria outbreak in Peterwar, 150 cases reported

Cerebral malaria outbreak has led to panic among the people of Peterwar block. More than 150 people are suffering from cerebral malaria at Angawali village.
According to reports, on Sunday several patients suffering from cerebral malaria were admitted at sub-divisional hospital, Tenughat, CCL hospital Dhori and private nursing home.
"The total number of malaria cases in Peterwar on Sunday reached 31. Most of the patients brought from remote areas for treatment were undiagnosed cases of cerebral malaria and were in advanced stage of the disease", hospital sources said
"The time factor for treatment of cerebral malaria is most necessary .The sooner the treatment starts the better are the chances of survival of patients", they further added.
