Chiang Mai Uniiversity denies doctor died from A(H1N1)

CHIANG MAI, July 31 (TNA) ? Chiang Mai University (CMU) denied that a local doctor had died from influenza A(H1N1), saying that septicaemia, a blood stream infection, was the cause of his death.

CMU Faculty of Medicine dean Niwet Nantajit and Maharaj Nakorn Chiang Mai Hospital director Wattana Nawacharoen told a news conference that according to the medical report, the doctor had had congenital diseases for some time and had resigned from the hospital over five years ago to run his own business unrelated to medical services.

However, a full autopsy is now being performed.

A news report earlier said that the doctor died from influenza A(H1N1).

Dr Niwet said the report had a negative impact on the rights of the patient and family as it was totally untrue. He urged the media to verify the news before reporting. (TNA)

Secondary infections from influenza are well documented and at least one report indicated that most deaths from the 1918 pandemic were due to BACTERIAL infections secondary to the H1N1 infections.

The author of the paper obvious cannot read a sequence, and the basic premise that unsubtypable swine H1N1 is NEW is OBVIOUSLY false.


This story is WELL into the internet rumor, Urban Legend, category.

I have since published maps which I spent many hours on showing early secondary infection outbreaks and lots of other data....
