Dr Osterholm, I Pray that you and Fern continue to recover with few setbacks. I have been watching and sharing your podcast for the past few years. It has been a Godsend to myself and my friends. I have yet to catch it and never want to. I am also extremely careful and this podcast just helped me make an important decision that has been weighing on me. Thank you again for all that you have done and do for all of us.

Lifting Prayers for a speedy recovery for Dr. O and his family. If there is anyone still doubting the effectiveness of being protected by vaccine, we should stop the debates. The evidence is clear. Let’s work to keep the medical communities and governments accountable for adequate prevention and preparedness.

All of us at FluTrackers wish Dr. Osterholm and his family and the CIDRAP associate who became ill with COVID-19 the very best - as we wish everyone and their close ones who have had to deal with this virus.

Dr. Osterholm and CIDRAP as an organization were one of the first "serious" groups that believed social media could be a valuable tool for public health communication.

We wish all of you a speedy recovery.

Dr. Osterholm - I still have hope that I can stay uninfected. I live a restricted life. I do not go to indoor restaurant/entertainment venues at all. I wear an N95 indoors where I need to go like the grocery store. If people come into my home unmasked I wear an N95 and I sanitize the air after they leave. In short, I live as if every person that I come into contact with is test positive. I am a senior and I have risk factors for a bad outcome if I get COVID-19. I am very cautious at outdoor events and keep my distance from people. I would love to go back to my old life but every time I say "**** it" to myself I remember people much younger than me who were hospitalized with the illness and I change my mind about attending an indoor event.
