GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. (KKCO) - Someone with measles visiting from out of state may have exposed Grand Valley residents to the disease.

The Mesa County Health Department is warning the public if they ate at Olive Garden Tuesday, Dec. 28 between 6:30 and 10 p.m. they may have been exposed to a suspected case of measles in an unvaccinated person.

Officials say anyone who was at the restaurant during that time and who isn't considered immune to measles should be on the lookout for the following symptoms...

Colorado warns travelers over measles exposure

DENVER (Reuters) - Colorado health officials issued a warning on Friday to travelers and workers at Denver International Airport that they may have been exposed to measles earlier this week...

...The passenger, who is from New Mexico, remained at the airport for several hours, long enough for the airborne virus to be active.

Anyone who was at the airport on February 22 after 9 p.m. local time should monitor themselves for symptoms, which include fever, runny nose, coughing and red, watery eyes, officials said...

...The Health Department said a passenger with measles arrived at DIA, in the Concourse C area, around 9 p.m.Tuesday and stayed for several hours.

People who were in Concourse C during this time should monitor themselves for any early symptoms from March 1 to March 12, said the Health Department. If you get symptoms, contact your doctor....
