Earlier this month, a Saguache County resident died after being exposed to the virus in Rio Grande County. Eagle County man dies from exposure to hantavirus

The Eagle County Coroner's Office identified a man who died from hantavirus as Manuel Hernandez. Hernandez, 41, had resided in Eagle County for approximately two months prior to his death.

Tuesday's news release did not say how or when the victim contracted the virus. There has been at least two reported infections on the Western Slope this summer...
