Confirmed four cases of A (H1N1) in Bolivia

March 17, 2010, 06:03La Paz, Mar 17 (Prensa Latina) Four ascended today the number of people in Bolivia with symptoms of influenza A (H1N1), after reporting two new cases of TB in the department of Santa Cruz (east).
The most recent discoveries are six months old baby, who is being treated at home, and a woman in her 20s, remains hospitalized.
They joined the two recorded last week: a woman cruceña seniors, who 10 days ago admitted to intensive care but his condition is stable, and a girl of 11 years in Trinidad, Beni (northeastern).
Vaccination against influenza A (H1N1) across the country will start on 5 April and will be applied in principle to high-risk groups susceptible to infection, such as pregnant women, health workers and the elderly.
The head of the Epidemiology Unit of the Bolivian Ministry of Health, Sergio Mollinedo said that those who were trained the previous week, now prepare their subordinates to implement the immunization.
