Costa Rica added already 13 deaths because of the flu A (H1N1) in what goes of year, after which the authorities of health were confirming today the death of a 57-year-old woman.
The victim, neighbor of the locality of The Chilis on the north border of the territory, presented herself in the medical center after next to five days of experiencing respiratory problems.
The authorities emphasized that the affected one was suffering diabetes, factor of risk that favored the complications of health and along with a picture of fever that caused the death.
The north region of Costa Rica registered till now 300 cases suspicious of carrying the virus, which supports in the locality active campaigns of vaccination.
Costa Rica registers from the beginning of the pandemic 3.420 confirmed cases of influenza A (H1N1), at the time that a whole of 65 persons has lost the life.

The Deputy Minister of Health of Costa Rica, Ana Morice, confirmed to Xinhua on the 24th a new death from the virus A (H1N1), which now total 14 deaths so far this year because of this evil.

According to the official detailed, the victim was a child of five years who suffered from congenital heart disease, it favored the rapid evolution of viral flu to death last Sunday, June 20.

Morice regretted that despite health campaigns and the general call was made to the public to get vaccinated, the child died because they were not protected, since "experienced a very aggressive purpose" of the virus.

The child was treated at the National Children's Hospital in the Costa Rican capital, where six other children remain hospitalized in whom we confirm the presence of the virus.

This Central American country recorded since the beginning of 3420 confirmed cases of pandemic influenza A (H1N1), while the lives lost a total of 66 people. (Xinhua)
