Very interesting! The actual rate of increase must be higher, since the more cases a country has, the lower percentage of cases get counted (agencies get overwhelmed/give up counting all but severe cases, etc. Also, once the virus breaks loose in a community, counting cases becomes extremely difficult.)

At first I only excluded Mexico for that reason
