James Thomas
Thomas, James Cadesman Born in Dallas, Texas on January 18, 1958 and died on November 6, 2009 from swine flu complications. Survived by his wife of 22 years, Susan Crystal Cartwright Thomas, son John Robert Thomas, parents Robert Howe and Suzanne Hendrian Thomas, brothers Robert Howe Thomas Jr. and wife Bernadette, and Stephen Richard Thomas and wife Leah, and many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Jim attended Highland Park High School and graduated from Texas Tech University in 1983 with a Bachelor Degree of Business Administrations. He was a member of Sigma Alpha Epsilon Fraternity. Jim returned to Dallas to become a successful commercial real estate professional and founded Cambridge Retail Properties, LP in 2004. He was a member of Royal Oaks Country Club and Woodvale Fishing Club. Jim was a devoted husband, loving father, beloved son and compassionate friend. His favorite pastimes included spending time with family and friends, fishing, playing golf, and scuba diving. He loved to travel, especially to the Caribbean, and to grill in his own backyard. Jim will forever live in our hearts. Due to his desire to help others with bone marrow disorders and blood cancers, in lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to The National Marrow Donor Program or The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society. Jim's family would like to give special thanks to his doctors and nurses at Baylor University Medical Center. Memorial Services will be held at 11:00am on Saturday, November 14, 2009 at St. Michael & All Angels Episcopal Church, 8011 Douglas Avenue, Dallas, TX.
