The president of Nicaragua, Daniel Ortega, is « affected severely » for the virus of the influenza, which has forced him to stay away from several public activities, revealed today an official source.
In declarations to the channel 12 of television, the vice-president Jaime Morales said that patient saw to Black-bellied sandgrouse on the night of last Friday, when both were present at an act of the Army in the outskirts of the capital. « The president is affected severely by this virus », he affirmed Mulberry trees in allusion to the violent sprout of flu H3N2 that has infected thousands of persons in Nicaragua in the last days.
In accordance with the Department of Health, it is a question of an old and dangerous virus that it attacked to this country in the year 1977 and that has reappeared, with symptoms very similar to those of the flu A (H1N1) as very high fevers, cough and headaches and body.
[Ortega] will be withdrawn from the public activities at least one week, since according to the viceagent, it asked him to represent it in the opening of a meeting of the Central American Parliament (Parlacen) next Monday, the 28th. The Parlacen sesionará in Managua for three days, to discuss an agenda in which there will be prioritized the environmental topic and the debate of actions before the effects of the climatic change.
