Four totals the number of people killed in El Oro because of the flu AH1N1, although it should be noted that three of the fatalities were residents of towns of Guayas and Azuay.

The first death, that of a 78-year-old woman who presented a pathology Machala pre - renal failure, occurred in the private clinic where she was admitted after being treated and discharged at the Hospital Teofilo Davila (HTD).

As can be seen in the attached table, Machala heads the list with 15, followed by El Guabo Zaruma and Santa Rosa - with three apiece, with two and Pineapple Arenillas and rafts, with one each.

With respect to age, those most affected are over 50 years and framed between 20 and 29 - with six cases. We follow the 10 to 14 and 30 to 39, with 5, the 40 to 49 and children under five with four, and from 5 to 0 and 15 to 19 with three.

The onslaught of the disease currently is not being as aggressive as originally ventured into gold by its status as frontier province and bordering Guayas, which concentrates the majority of cases.

The 36 detected in the province account for slightly over 2.5% of those registered in the country that counted until last August 26, 1382 confirmed and 36 deaths.

The first case was diagnosed in Ecuador on May 15 in Guayaquil and corresponded to a school from the United States. In El Oro the first affected by the ailment was a girl of 22 who arrived in New York later that month.

4 killed by AH1N1 in Manabi
PORTOVIEJO

Manabi Health Authorities reported the death of four people affected by the virus AH1N1 in this province, all registered in August and last victim was a woman of the parish Andres de Vera of Portoviejo.

In the provincial capital, according to hospital authorities, weeks earlier, killing two people, while the first victim was a 13 year old girl Jun?n Canton, who died in Guayaquil on August 7.

Johnny Merch?n, hospital director of Portoviejo Verdi Cevallos, said that in the latter case the patient presented a picture of impact of diabetes, which was complicated by purchasing the influenza virus.

Last Tuesday's funeral was held on the patient died the previous Monday night in the hospital room Triage IESS Portoviejo, that as they gathered for healthcare staff of Manabi with delegates from the Ministry of Health to discuss these cases and plans to implement after the announcement of the deaths of people living with the virus.

The second death was the case of a 6-month-old, who caught the disease died on 17 August, while the third victim was an adult over 62 years.
