A new report was published today by the emohp which is dated for march 27th. this report adds zero new suspect cases over a two day period for the 26th and 27th of march.


one of the previously reported suspect cases has been confirmed.the case is from the quoted information below. only the positive total case numbers are affected by this report

the case is under going hospital treatment in the governorate number 15 Damietta (Arabic: دمياط‎)

no other information is currently available for this case.

the current suspect to positive case ratio as of the current report is 1/13.75 based on the total suspect case tally for the month march which is only 55 through the 27th

the current suspect case total is 11,559

this report reflects the death of case number 107 which is being accounted for under the Cairo governorate the total deaths for Cairo has increased by one to nineteen all other statistics remain unchanged for this governorate.

the statistics for the governorate number 15 Damietta Governorate (Arabic: دمياط‎) are as follow based on the mohp report and are cumulative total's since 2006

844 total suspect cases have been reported for the governorate with three being added for the 23rd of march. to date only four positive cases have been confirmed from since 2006.with one case of recovery being shown and no cases currently hospitalized

the currently daily average of suspect cases remains at two per day.this brings the march suspect case total to 49 cases through the 23rd.

The Ministry of Health on Sunday said the discovery of new human case of bird flu, bringing the total number of cases in Egypt since the emergence of the disease and so far 108 cases.
وأوضحت الوزارة فى بيان لها أن الحالة الجديدة لسيدة من محافظة دمياط تبلغ من العمر 30 عاما وحالتها حرجة.​


The ministry said in a statement that the new situation of a woman from Damietta Governorate at the age of 30 years and in critical condition.


وأضاف البيان أن السيدة دخلت مستشفى صدر دمياط يوم 25 مارس / اذار الحالى تعانى من ارتفاع شديد فى درجة الحرارة وسعال وصعوبة فى التنفس، وذلك عقب تعرضها لطيور منزلية يعتقد فى إصابتها بفيروس إنفلونزا الطيور.​


The statement added that Ms. Damietta was entered hospital on March 25 this suffers from high temperature, cough and difficulty in breathing, following exposure to household birds, believed to be infected with avian influenza.

وأشار البيان إلى أنه تم إعطاء السيدة عقار (تاميفلو) وتم تحويلها إلى مستشفى صدر العباسية لاستكمال علاجها.​

The statement pointed out it was given Ms. drug (Tamiflu) was transferred to the hospital was the Abbasid to complete treatment.

we have a new reported dated for the 28th of march and released today it adds five new suspect cases to the totals which is currently 11,070 cases.

case number 108 is still shown in the hospital within the previously reported governorate.

the statistics for the governorate number 15 Damietta Governorate (Arabic: دمياط‎) are as follow based on the mohp report and are cumulative total's since 2006

847 total suspect cases have been reported for the governorate with three being added for the 28th of march. the positive case count remains at four. with one case of recovery being shown. and one case currently hospitalized which is most likely case 108.

this report does not reflect the previously mentioned transfer of the case to Cairo for treatment.

the currently daily average of suspect cases remains at two per day.this brings the march suspect case total to 60 cases through the 28th of march.

two other governorates each reported a single new suspect case for this date.

I would think this indirectly, may be related to the recent amount of new suspect cases in one of the mentioned areas.

The Ministry of Health of Egypt has announced two new human cases of human A(H5N1) avian influenza infection.

The first case was announced on 28 March and is a 30 year-old female from Damietta district, Damietta Governorate. The case was admitted to hospital on 24 March where she received oseltamivir treatment. She is in a critical condition.

The second case was announced on 21 March and is a 4 year-old male from Beba district, Beni Suaif Governorate . The case was admitted to hospital on 18 March where he received oseltamivir treatment. He died on 24 March.

Investigations into the source of infection indicated that both cases had exposure to sick and dead poultry.

The cases were confirmed by the Egyptian Central Public Health Laboratories, a National Influenza Center of the WHO Global Influenza Surveillance Network (GISN).

Of the 108 laboratory confirmed cases of Avian influenza A(H5N1) reported in Egypt, 33 have been fatal.

Hi Twall, I'll change the admission date on my list to the 24th, but we don't know the exact onset date.

yes your correct, it was a poor choice of words on my part. I'm sure it must have been prior to admission to the hospital and or even when first announced as a suspect case on the 23rd.

wow mental meltdown I got it from #108 - 30 years old, female, onset date March 24th, 2009 - Damietta governorate

this sometimes happens when you begin to reach my age i knew the date was wrong and just changed it.

two new reports were issued over the last couple of days and cover the period through the 2nd Of April 2010 the report below is for through the 31st march only

the suspect case count increased to a total of 11,580 for the report which is dated for the 31st march.

it added no new positive cases to the count.

the report also shows case 108 remained under going hospital treatment.

the four governorates that added suspect cases are listed below three added one suspect case.

MOHP report dated for 6th April still shows 109 total cases positive, with one case still shown under-going treatment in Cairo which is case 108

the suspect case total increased by one case to 11,596

the suspect case was added to the governorate number 15 Damietta or Domyat (Arabic: دمياط‎) the total suspect case count for this governorate is currently 848 since 2006 with five cases shown as being positive and no fatal cases are listed

MOHP report dated for 7th April still shows only 109 total cases positive, with one case still shown under-going treatment in Cairo which is case 108

the report does show five new suspect cases being added to four governorates and brings the total case count to 11,691

the report is attached to case number 109

This case is now shown as a recovered case on the report which is dated for the 14th and covers two days no new suspect cases were added for the 14th
