أعلن الدكتورعبد الرحمن شاهين المتحدث الرسمى لوزارة الصحة أنه قد تم اكتشاف حالة إصابة بشرية بمرض أنفلونزا الطيور لطفلة تبلغ من العمر 11 عاماً بمحافظة الأقصر، مشيراً إلى أن هذه تعتبر الحالة رقم 115 منذ بداية ظهور المرض فى مصر.

وأوضح الدكتور عبد الرحمن شاهين أن الطفلة المذكورة دخلت إحدى مستشفيات محافظة الأقصر وهى تعانى من ارتفاع فى درجة الحرارة وكحة وصعوبة فى التنفس والتهاب رئوى، وذلك عقب تعرضها لطيور يشتبه فى إصابتها بمرض أنفلونزا الطيور، وأنه قد تم إعطاؤها عقار التاميفلو على الفور ووضعها على جهاز التنفس الصناعى وحالتها الصحية حرجة.
