أكدت المعامل المركزية بوزارة الصحة إصابة سيدة بمرض الأنفلونزا المستجدة بالفيوم، كانت ولاء .ع. yes they are pretty much using the same list of symptoms for both with three qualifying items to determine a course of action.

1.first the question did you have any contact with poultry.
2.obvious stressed shortness of breath.
3.with a rapid onset of high fever.

if they respond yes to the questions above they then isolate, treat first as bird flu prior to testing being performed.

if you had no contact with poultry they pretty much isolate the severe cases perform testing while starting treatment and assume its H1N1.

without a breathing related issue. the will treat the case like its mild, they may isolate observe and wait for a positive test result prior to use of antivirals again assuming its a mild case of seasonal flu or H1N1
