DUBAI - Swine flu has killed 29 people in Egypt so far, Daily News Egypt reported on Monday, citing the country?s Health Ministry.

The latest victim was 45-year-old Hassan Ibrahim Abdel Meguid, who had been infected since Dec. 3.

The newspaper said an Egyptian Haj pilgrim had also contracted the virus in Saudi Arabia and was admitted to a hospital in Medina for treatment.

In a move to contain the H1N1 virus spread, the Egyptian government has cut the cost of a lab test to check swine flu by 45 percent.

CAIRO (Reuters) - Egypt on Wednesday announced four new deaths from influenza virus (H-1 that 1) which is known in the media of swine flu, bringing the death toll of the disease in the country to 38.

Ministry of Health announced today, Thursday, for the death of three new cases of disease, swine flu, bringing the total number of cases the deceased in Egypt until the day 74 cases.
The Health Ministry said in a statement today, the situation of the Egyptian woman (case number) 72 old (23 years) from the Cairo governorate, where the booking is sick in hospital with high fever and pains and general health status is critical and the situation was five months pregnant.
The statement said that the situation for the (case number) 73 Egyptian student at the age (12 years), from Cairo Governorate was admitted to hospital, suffering from difficulty in breathing and the blue face and respiratory failure and critical state of health, where the statement indicates that the pathological condition referred to in the reflux valve and mitral valve triathlon.

The statement indicates that the situation of the Egyptian woman (case number) 74 old (25 years) from the Cairo governorate, and they booked a hospital suffering from double pneumonia and difficulty in breathing and her condition is critical and history suggests the patients of the situation that she was pregnant in the seventh month.

The statement added that the situation (case number) 77 was for a child at the age of 7 months of Beni Suef, were Detained in hospital suffering from difficulty breathing and was taken to the intensive care unit Hospital ..
