Issued Amin Abaza, Minister of Agriculture and Land Reclamation decision to form the Higher Technical Committee to combat bird flu, chaired by Dr. Mohamed Mostafa Garhi Chairman, General Authority for Veterinary Services, membership of a number of experienced and plantation owners and university professors. Garhi in the first meeting of the Committee yesterday that the bird flu is still endemic in Egypt since its appearance in 2006 and we have to cooperate to meet this challenge and work as a team in cooperation with the Agricultural Research Center and a treaty of agreement on a new vaccine to eradicate the bird flu in Egypt, finally pointing out that we have so far, 22 a vaccine to fight bird flu and unfortunately is not completely eliminate this disease, but hit 60% of poultry farms infected with bird flu.
Garhi that we have a clear vision now for the first time to fight bird flu by training workers and farm owners to confront this disease, bio-safe and will be producing a new vaccine within 3 months to eradicate the bird flu.
