we went shopping yesterday at about four o'clock in the afternoon prior to iftar, by about two and one half hours. The supermarket was empty devoid of the normal hundreds of body's trying to escape the heat in the air conditioned shopping complex which houses the supermarket.

The fresh meat counters and frozen meat sections are full of product.

Flour is another subject, all together most of the supermarkets are out or running out.

The bakery's are also finding flour to be available but for extremely high prices this goes beyond the past problem of bread being un-available to the general populace.

We tried five stores yesterday day for flour, all said they have no ideal when or if it will be available or at what price level.

prices for many have have been increasing over the last month or two many items are now fifty percent higher at the consumer level some of this is due to the normal Ramadan related price gouging.
