أعلنت وزارة الصحة وصول عدد الطلاب الذين تم تطعيمهم حتى الآن 120 ألف طالب فقط فى رابع يوم من الحملة القومية لتطعيم طلاب المراحل الابتدائية فى 6 محافظات ضد الإصابة بفيروس أنفلونزا الخنازير. وبذلك تكون نسبة الطلاب الذين تم تطعيمهم 6% فقط من إجمالى عدد الطلاب والذى حددته كل من وزارة الصحة والتربية والتعليم بـ2 مليون و200 ألف طالب. ومن جانبه، أكد الدكتور عبد الرحمن شاهين المتحدث الرسمى لوزارة الصحة على مفاجأة الوزارة من عدم الإقبال على التطعيم على الرغم من أنه الحل الوحيد حتى الآن للحماية والوقاية من الفيروس، لافتاً إلى أن الصحة لم تتخذ أى إجراءات فى حالة عدم التطعيم، مؤكداً أن التطعيم متوفر والعلاج أيضا بالتاميفلو موجود لكل من يطلبه وبالمجان، قائلاً لن نحرم أحداً من التاميفلو فى حالة رفضه عملية التطعيم، داعياً أولياء الأمور للتطعيم أولادهم ضد الفيروس بالمصل الذى أكد على مأمونيته فى مصر وجميع دول العالم التى استخدمت المصل فى التطعيم.
