أعلن الدكتور عبد الرحمن شاهين المتحدث الرسمى لوزارة الصحة عن اكتشاف 6 حالات جديدة بأنفلونزا الخنازير، ليرتفع بذلك عدد الحالات إلى 402، شفى منهم 291 حالة، وتوفيت حالة واحدة حتى الآن.
Dr. Abdel Rahman Shahin, official spokesman of the Ministry of Health in the discovery of 6 new cases of swine flu, bringing the
total number of cases to 402, of whom 291 recovered cases, and died one case so far.
وأوضح أنه تم حجز الحالات بالمستشفيات لتلقى العلاج وحالتهم الصحية مستقرة، وذكر أنه تم فحص 66 حالة اشتباه بأنفلونزا الخنازير و5 حالات بأنفلونزا الطيور، وجاءت نتائج التحاليل المعملية سلبية للمرض.
The cases that were reserved for hospital treatment and were in stable condition, had been examined 66 suspected case of swine flu, and 5 cases of bird flu, the results of laboratory tests negative for the disease.
من ناحية أخرى، كشف وزير الصحة الدكتور حاتم الجبلى أن الوزارة تدرس حالياً حزمة من القرارات الوقائية لحماية المواطنين من تفشى فيروس إيه (إتش 1 إن 1) المعروف عالميا باسم أنفلونزا الخنازير، خصوصاً فى أماكن التجمعات والقادمين والمسافرين إلى الخارج، بالإضافة إلى حسم قضية كبار السن التى تزيد أعمارهم على 65 عاماً من المصريين المسافرين لأداء مناسك العمرة فى الأسبوع المقبل.

وقال الجبلى، فى تصريحات أدلى بها على هامش احتفالية فى الإسكندرية لمركز طب الأسنان، إن مصر ملتزمة بالضوابط التى تصدرها السلطات السعودية بالنسبة للقادمين إلى أراضيها لأداء مناسك العمرة والحج، موضحاً أن هناك تعاوناً كبيراً بين البلدين على صعيد اتخاذ الإجراءات اللازمة لمواجهة الفيروس.

وقال الجبلى أن هناك إجراءات اتخذتها وزارة الصحة لمواجهة احتمالات تفشى أنفلونزا الخنازير، ومنها منع إقامة الخيام الرمضانية التى يتوافد إليها الشباب بأعداد كبيرة لتجنب احتمالية انتشار الفيروس، موضحا أن وجود ما يزيد على 700 شخص فى مكان واحد مغلق يزيد من مخاطر الإصابة بالمرض، كما تدرس الوزارة حالياً فكرة إلغاء حفلات الإفطار فى شهر رمضان المبارك.
