SC confirms 14 more deaths from flu fever; state has 83
The Health Department of Santa Catarina confirmed on Friday a further 14 deaths from flu. Thus, the State total 83 deaths from the virus A (H1N1).
According to data released last week by the Ministry of Health so far been recorded 899 fatal cases of swine flu throughout the country According to the review of the World Health Organization, Brazil is the country with the largest number of deaths from disease .
According to the department of Santa Catarina, ten fatalities had other diseases that could complicate the picture of health. Nine other deaths were discarded.

No new cases identified by the Health is the region of Concordia
The State Department of Health said on Friday, September 25, the result of 23 deaths that were under investigation, in Santa Catarina, due to Influenza A. Nine were negative for influenza A and 14 tests were positive.
Of the 14 confirmed deaths, 10 are for patients with comorbidity, that is, greater chances of complications of the table.
So far 83 deaths have been confirmed and 64 deaths dropped initially considered suspicious. Also been 727 confirmed cases of Influenza A in Santa Catarina and disposed of 815 cases through laboratory tests. Continue research in 4270 samples collected in Santa Catarina.

Cause of death (DO) = severe community pneumonia.
ALFREDO WAGNER: Females 22 years. Onset of symptoms on 21/08/09, hospitalized at University Hospital (UFSC) on 05/09/09, death occurred on 06/09/2009.
Patient reference comorbidity: Smoking, Congenital heart disease and hyperthyroidism.
Cause of death (DO) = multiple organ dysfunction syndrome, acute respiratory distress, pneumonia and hyperthyroidism.
BALNEÁRIO CAMBORIÚ: Females, 55 years. Onset of symptoms on 14/08/09, hospital, Hospital Celso Ramos (Florianopolis) on 19/08/09, death occurred on 08/09/2009.
Patient comorbidity reference: Immunosupression.
Cause of death (DO) = Septic shock, respiratory distress syndrome acute bronchopneumonia and chronic lymphatic leukemia.
CRICIÚMA: Male, 42 years. Onset of symptoms on 14/08/09, hospitalized at St. Joseph Hospital on 19/08/09, death occurred on 31/08/2009.
Patient had no reference to comorbidity.
Cause of death (DO) = Acute respiratory syndrome, acute respiratory distress, interstitial Pneuminite diffuse alveolar damage and intravascular coagulation.
CRICIÚMA: Female gender, age 7. Onset of symptoms on 04/09/09, hospitalization at St. Joseph Hospital and St. Catherine's, 06/09/09, death occurred on 20/09/2009.
Patient had no reference to comorbidity.
Cause of death (DO) = acute renal failure and pneumonia.
CAPINZAL: Male, 32 years. Top of symptoms on 23/07/09, hospitalization at San Roque on 02/08/09, death occurred on 23/08/2009.
Patient comorbidity reference: Pulmonary disease, smoking, and Hemoglobinopathy Immunosupression.
Cause of death (DO) = multiple dysfunction, septic shock, pneumonia and renal failure.
CATANDUVA: Male, 41 years. Onset of symptoms on 04/08/09, hospitalization at San Miguel (Joaçaba) on 08/08/09, death occurred on 13/08/2009.
Patient had no reference to comorbidity.
Cause of death (DO) = severe respiratory insufficiency, severe respiratory infection, acute renal failure and circulatory shock.
FLORIANÓPOLIS: Male, 55 years. Onset of symptoms on 18/08/09, hospitalization at Florianópolis 19/08/09, death occurred on 01/09/2009.
