The swine flu, known as the disease caused by H1N1 virus, has killed four people in Mato Grosso do Sul, including a pregnant woman and newborn baby.

According to the director of the Health Surveillance Health Department (Secretaria Municipal de Sa?de), Ana Lucia de Oliveira Lyrio, tests confirmed four deaths in Ontario, bringing to 12 the number of deaths caused by the pandemic in the state. Were two more deaths in the capital and one in the State.

The counter Marcelo Suzuki Xavier, 31, who died on August 16 this year, had a confirmed diagnosis for swine flu. He died after being admitted to the Hospital Unimed, the capital. The other confirmed death in the Capital is a man of 40, who was obese and was admitted to University Hospital. We confirmed five deaths in Campo Grande. The Health Department is awaiting the outcome of six other deaths.

Laboratory test also confirmed that one of the three pregnant women who had pregnancy interrupted and died, died from the flu. The wife of 20 years is Cassil?ndia. The baby, premature eight months, also died. In this case, according to Ana Lucia, were confirmed two deaths. The patient was Cassil?ndia.

With the new results, the swine flu has killed 12 people in Mato Grosso do Sul, five in Campo Grande, two in Cassil?ndia, one in Costa Rica, one in Dourados, one in Tr?s Lagoas, in a F?tima do Sul and one of Sao Paulo (who died in Tr?s Lagoas).

Another death caused by swine flu, known as the H1N1 virus was confirmed in three lakes by Instituto Evandro Chagas. There are now 13 confirmed deaths caused by influenza virus in the state, including five in Campo Grande, Tr?s Lagoas (one is a resident of Sao Paulo), two in Cassil?ndia, one in Costa Rica, one in Dourados and another in F?tima do Sul . Officially, the State Health Department confirmed eight deaths, one of Sao Paulo, but whose patient died in Mato Grosso do Sul

According to the Municipal Health Secretariat of Tres Lagoas, the third victim is a woman, aged 45 to 50 years of age. She was admitted to the Hospital Our Lady Help of Christians on 27th August this year and died on September 6.

A 27 year old man died in Taubat?, because of complications of the new flu. This is the fifth death from the disease recorded in the city. With the confirmation, as are 25 deaths from disease in the region.

Three of them were in the Braganca region, six in Sao Jose dos Campos, two on the north, five in Taubat?, one in Guaratinguet?, two in Lorena, one of Ca?apava, one in Jacare?, one in Campos do Jord?o, and one in Potim confirmed by two other State Department of Health, but no location revealed.

Paran? registers 14 thousand new confirmed cases of influenza

The number of confirmed cases of influenza A H1N1 in Parana reached 14,009, according to the Epidemiological Bulletin 63 of the Secretary of State for Health announced on Monday (28). This newsletter were 658 confirmed new cases of the disease in the state.

In addition, six new deaths were reported in the state, bringing the total number of deaths of Paran? to 250. The new deaths occurred in regional health Curitiba (1), Ponta Grossa (1), Guarapuava (1), Campo Mour?o (1), Umuarama (1) and Maring? (1).

Sesa also corrected the death toll from the previous bulletin, were 244 and not 245 as reported, for four deaths occurred in regional health Apucarana and not five.

The largest number of confirmed deaths due to influenza were the new regional health Curitiba (81). Then, the highest rates were for the regional health of Cascavel (20 deaths), Foz do Igua?u (19), Maring? (19), Londrina (12) and Toledo (12).

Campinas confirms 15th death from swine flu

The Department of Health of Campinas (SP) confirmed on Monday (28) one more death due to influenza A (H1N1) swine flu. Thus, increased to 15 the number of deaths from the disease in the municipality.

According to the secretariat, it is a 37 year old man who was admitted to a public hospital on 30 July and died eight days later. The patient had other diseases included in the risk group. The examination diagnosed the swine flu was analyzed at the Instituto Adolfo Lutz, in Sao Paulo.

To date, overall, the city recorded seven outbreaks and 193 cases of the disease, and 13 women. Women represent 58.5% of confirmed cases in the county.

Mar?lia registers more deaths from swine flu (SP state)

Mar?lia - Two men died yesterday in Mar?lia (100 miles Bauru) suspected of being infected by the virus, Influenza A, H1N1, which causes the so-called swine flu. With the new case brings to four the number of victims in the city awaiting test results for confirmation of death by disease.

Rio Claro confirms 2nd death by the new flu

The city of Rio Claro confirmed on Monday (27), the second death by the new flu. Thus, up to 6 the number of deaths from the disease in the central region of the state of Sao Paulo. The victim, a man of 46 years, died on the night of September 22, the private hospital where he was hospitalized from the 19th.

The first case of death in Rio Claro was a man of 38 years, recorded on September 16. The city has a total of 23 new cases of influenza. The other 21 people who contracted the disease received treatment and recovered. Another 24 people are monitoring

Information System of Notifiable Diseases (SINAN) reported today that more than 5 people died in Mato Grosso due to the H1N1 virus. Until last week, were 8 fatalities confirmed. The Department of Health today announced a further report on the swine flu in Goias and confirmed 48 deaths. Until yesterday were reported to the Surveillance State 741 new cases of influenza. Of these, 182 (24.56%) were laboratory confirmed and are distributed in 33 outlying cities and eight municipalities in other states. We discarded 294 (39.68%) cases and other 265 (35.76%) are still under investigation by the Epidemiological Surveillance.

In the previous week, there was an increase of 15 deaths and 212 suspected cases reported. Secretary of Health, Irani Ribeiro, attributes the increase in the number of suspected cases to a greater mobilization of the public health, especially in the interior. The capital remains the champion in the number of records with 16 deaths. Then comes Aparecida de Goiania with eight, Trinidad with three, and Annapolis Sanclerl?ndia with two each, and one death for each of the other 21 municipalities.

The age distribution of confirmed cases remains in the 20 to 29 years (32.8%). Moreover, the majority of deaths were of people between 30 and 39 years (29.2%). Remains the prevalence of reporting of cases in females (56%). However, this week, the deaths among females exceed the males, from 45.45% to 52.08%. According to the desk there was a significant decrease in cases reported in HDT, but that it has not happened in the Hospital Materno Infantil.

Irani ensures that the peak of the disease has passed. "Five weeks ago we recorded a peak and now we are checking the decrease in the number of cases," said the secretary, to ask for "still" people continue to take the same preventive measures.

SES confirms 11 deaths from flu swine MS


SES (State Secretariat of Health) reported on the afternoon of Thursday, the latest newsletter - the number eleven - on cases of influenza A H1N1 (avian virus) in Mato Grosso do Sul's eleven people reportedly killed by the virus of new disease. The victims are: the Capital (five), Tr?s Lagoas (two), Costa Rica, Dourados, Fatima do Sul and Inoc?ncia (with one each.

Are 336 reports in 44 municipalities, 138 cases and 121 suspects discarded. Data regarding receipts show that 61 were infected by the virus - two of which are cases of people living in the State of Sao Paulo. Since cases of seasonal influenza (among municipalities in the state), are 18 confirmations, and two people also coming from Sao Paulo.

The city with more confirmed cases remains Campo Grande, with 36 (plus 50 suspect). In the capital, have confirmed cases of the following municipalities: Anauril?ndia (2), Corumb? (3), Costa Rica (1), Dourados(12), F?tima do Sul (1), Eldorado (1);Iguatem (1); Inoc?ncia (1); Itaquira? Government of Rio confirms 8 more deaths caused by new influenza

SAO PAULO - Health authorities confirmed two new deaths from the flu in Engenheiro Coelho (SP), rising to 53 the death toll in the region of Campinas. The victims are a woman of 52 years, who died on Wednesday, (last?) 30. The second death is a man of 65 years. He died last week, but the test result was only released on Thursday.

In Parana, the Health Secretariat of Rio de Janeiro confirmed on Thursday, the 1st, eight more deaths in the swine flu. Records, a child of 5 years died in September, six patients in August, and a man in July.

Swine flu causes 12 deaths in Mato Grosso do Sul

The Secretariat of Health of Mato Grosso do Sul confirmed on Thursday, the 1st, five new swine influenza in the state. One victim was a resident of the State of Sao Paulo, but died in Mato Grosso do Sul new records, Campo Grande, capital of the state, the largest number of deaths, were five of 12 occurring around the state.

S?o Paulo still has the largest registry of deaths. Are 327 patients who had complications of the disease, followed by Paran?, Rio Grande do Sul, with 190, and Rio de Janeiro with 92.

According to survey of state health departments, 1141 people died of swine flu in the country. The latest bulletin released by the Ministry of Health on September 16 showed 899 victims of the new flu.
