EDMONTON ? Flu season has begun again, though it is not expected to bring any new strains or panic as H1N1 did a year ago.
There have been 10 confirmed cases of influenza this year, including three in one long-term care home, all in southern Alberta.
Despite the start of the season, Dr. Gerry Predy, Alberta's senior medical officer of health, said the window to get vaccinated has not closed.
"We wanted to get the message out to people that there's still lots of time to get vaccinated, especially if you are in one of the risk groups," he said.
