PITTSBURGH (AP) ? An international student at Chatham University in Pittsburgh is being treated for typhoid fever.
University spokesman Paul Kovach says he can't name the student or provide many details about her condition because of confidentiality rules. But, Kovach says, the student arrived from her home country in August and on Monday was taken to a hospital and treated with antibiotics after exhibiting flu-like symptoms. Tests on her close associates at the school have all come back negative.
