Four suspected H1N1 patients die in Jalandhar hospital

Jalandhar (Punjab), Jan 2 (PTI) Four suspected swine flu patients, including three women, today died in the Civil Hospital here.



The deceased were identified as Paramjit Singh resident of Kapurthala, Paramjit Kaur, resident of Nawanshahr, Vidya Devi, resident of Hoshiarpur and Renu Devi, resident of Jalandhar, District Health Officer Roop Lal told PTI.



He said while three of the patients, all of whom were suffering from symptoms of swine flu, were admitted late last night, the fourth one was in the isolation ward since yesterday.



The swab samples of all of four patients were sent for test to PGI, Chandigarh and reports are awaited.



Dr Lal confirmed that so far the toll due to H1N1 in the district was 15.
