G?tersloh (dpa / LNW) - On a farm in eastern Westphalia G?tersloh there
a suspicion of bird flu. As s precaution last night authorities
started to kill some 20 000 animals, the district government said Thursday.

It is not the aggressive pathogen (H5N1) avian influenza, like about five years ago,
assured the Department Veterinary and
Food inspection of the District. According to current knowledge it is
a mild type. No danger to humans .
