Re: Germany - LP H6N1 in geese

H6 sure gets around.

It contributed the NA for HP H5N1.

Out of the 415 H6 sequences on file...
H6N5 has traveled via Shearwaters in Australia (1972) with the Shearwater patterns of flying figure eights around the entire Pacific ocean.
H6N1 has been found at the Northernmost community (Barrow) in North America in 2005.
H6N2 is found in Canadian turkeys as far back as 1963 and traveled to Norway in 2005 via Teals.
H6N8 has been found in those domestic H5-carrying Ostrich's in South Africa.

It shares it's genes everywhere. :)
