Ship under Quarantine for Fear of Tuberculosis

Thirty-three crew members of a North Korea flagged cargo ship were transferred to Sotiria Hospital as 5 of them are suffering from tuberculosis and the rest tested TB positive.
One crew member was trasnsferred to a private hospital on Septmeber, 15. The ship, which set off from Alexandria and called at Perama in June, has been placed under quarantine.
Piraeus Prefect, Yiannis Mihas said that the private hospital where one of the crew members was hospitalized informed Prefecture authorities with a 10-day delay. He called on all those that came in contact with crew members or did repair work on the ship to speed to hospitals for tests.
