Public Health confirms 4th whooping cough case

Guam's public health department confirmed a fourth case of whooping cough on island.
The Department of Public Health and Social Services sent out a press release yesterday stating pertussis, or whooping cough, had been confirmed in a 2-month-old child.
An investigation of the four cases has not shown any link among them or to an off-island source, the release states...

The whopping cough outbreak continues to plague Guam. To date, there have been 27 confirmed cases of whooping cough also known as pertussis reported to the Department of Public Health and according to immunizations program coordinator Annette Aguon so far we have been lucky that none of the cases have resulted in death...
