Fight against Ebola: the first transit center of 16 in total installed in For?cariah
While health authorities are on the verge of relocating the Ebola treatment center installed in the Donka National Hospital, Prime Minister Mohamed Said Fofana has made the opening of the transit center of For?cariah , his hometown, which could count eleven beds, 28 health workers and the Red Cross, we have learned on Monday evening of good sources.
According to one participant, this transit center is the first in sixteen centers in total that will be installed in Guinea in the coming weeks as part of the early response to receive all suspected cases recorded in For?cariah, a border prefecture to Sierra -L?one neighbor.
According to the same source, the sampling will be done inside the transit center of For?cariah and samples carried to laboratories in the capital Conakry.
To strengthen the fight against Ebola, it is expected the total construction of 88 centers in Guinea, 16 transit centers, 62 community centers and 10 treatment centers.
In their speech for the occasion, Prime Minister Mohamed Said Fofana, Minister of Health, Remy Lamah and Ambassador of France in Guinea, Bertrand Cochery have in turn stressed the importance they attach to creation of the transit center For?cariah.
According to authorities, central For?cariah could help break the chain of infection and decongest the treatment center Donka, soon to be relocated.
