La Paz - Bolivia .- The Health Minister Nila Heredia, confirmed yesterday that a man of 52 years of Santa Cruz died of a pulmonary complication caused by the H1N1 influenza virus.
"It has been reported the death of a person with primary pathology, which was complicated by influenza A/H1N1, also by the smoke that emanated from the forest fires," he told reporters.
Heredia said that to counter the spread of the virus, the Ministry of Health distributed 25,000 doses of flu vaccine in the eastern A/H1H1 protection, particularly for risk groups such as pregnant women, people with underlying diseases and older adults.
On the other hand, warned the outbreak of acute respiratory infections in the East mainly because of the cold front that entered the country.
He said that the cold fronts produce variations in temperature, therefore recommended the care of children with good food and warm liquids consumption, besides the use of warm clothing.
According to the National Service of Meteorology and Hydrology (Senamhi), on Tuesday entered a new cold front to the country, which will generate a transition from dry to wet period period, resulting in precipitation in the form of showers and thunderstorms.
