LYON - Le dispositif de surveillance de la grippe aviaire a été levé dans le département du Rhône en raison d'une baisse de la mortalité des oiseaux sauvages dans le département voisin de l'Ain, annonce la préfecture du Rhône.

Le premier cas de virus H5N1 en France a été découvert il y a deux mois dans l'Ain où une zone de protection et de surveillance a été mise en place afin d'éviter une propagation de la contamination.

"La baisse de la mortalité des oiseaux sauvages victimes de l'influenza aviaire, hautement pathogène, dans le département de l'Ain a permis de réduire notablement le périmètre interdit autour des cas d'oiseaux sauvages contaminés", précise la préfecture du Rhône dans un communiqué.

"Par conséquent, le Rhône n'est plus concerné par ce nouveau périmètre et la zone de surveillance est levée", ajoute-t-elle.

Cette mesure concerne 48 communes dans le Rhône. Elle met fin à l'utilisation des pédiluves à l'entrée des élevages, aux restrictions de circulation des carnivores domestiques, à l'interdiction de la chasse et du lâcher de gibier, à la restriction des déplacements d'oiseaux et de leurs produits.

Toutefois, le département reste soumis aux mesures nationales visant à prévenir une contamination des volailles et des oiseaux domestiques par des oiseaux sauvages.

Il s'agit de la surveillance des oiseaux morts, du confinement des oiseaux et des volailles, de l'interdiction de rassemblements d'oiseaux et de l'obligation de déclarer en mairie la détention d'oiseaux.
