CHANDIGARH: Seven kids, in the age group of six months to three years, have died and 14 others have been hospitalized due to the outbreak of diarrhoea in Sondh village of Palwal district of national capital region (NCR), Haryana, in the past 10 days.

Exposing the tall claims of public health engineering department, supply of contaminated water from broken and old pipelines is said to be the reason for the disease's outbreak in the last week of August.

Sources said till now, 100 children had suffered from the ailment. But the health authorities got cracking after August 24, when it had claimed its second victim.
