'The government doesn't even listen to itself', doctor
National Health Crisis Committee's consultant, doctor Jorge San Juan criticized the ruling party's attitude against the alerting raise of cases and fatal victims during a radio interview.
San Juan stated that even though Health Minister Graciela Oca?a advised top government's officials to annul the elections, "they never listened, not even to their own voices".
The doctor explained that massive audiences always represent an enormous threat of virus spread out, and added, "We advised what we considered best for the population but it's the political power the one who always has the final call", in a direct reference to Cabinet Chief Sergio Massa, also head of the Health Crisis Committee.
Reporter also asked San Juan whether was true that Health Minister Oca?a was to resign to his ministery after elections, "Well, all I can say is that those rumours come not only from the press but also are being passed among those who work in the medicine field".
"It would be a shame, but in case the minister takes the decision, we will support her for sure".
