BANGLADESH - There has been one new outbreak of H5N1 highly pathogenic avian influenza (HPIA) at a farm near Dhaka.

The veterinary authority has sent Follow Up Report No. 26 dated 10 January to the World Organisation for Animal Health (OIE).

The outbreak started on 1 January at a commercial farm at Narisha Khamarbari in Dhaka. Of the flock of 6,500 birds, 530 died and the rest have since been destroyed.
