There has been no evidence of HPAI in poultry tested in the restricted zones.
No further cases of HPAI in domestic poultry have occurred since the detection of the case.
Therefore, Germany declares itself free from HPAI with effect from 14 January 2009 in accordance with Article 10.4.4. of the OIE Terrestrial Animal Health Code.
