House to house campaign tomorrow to prevent influenza H1N1 in Jesus Maria
Lima, May. 17 (ANDINA). In order to inform and educate the community about the prevention of diseases such as influenza A H1N1, dengue and rotavirus, the municipality of Jes?s Mar?a in coordination with the Ministry of Health, will begin tomorrow a campaign called preventive house to house " 2010 Healthy Homes. "
In this campaign, which runs through Friday, 21 May, specialist staff from both institutions will begin preventive visits in the streets Diego de Almagro, Jeronimo de Aliaga, and avenues and Arnaldo Marquez Garz?n.
During house to house visits will be delivered to the neighbors of materials on such diseases. Likewise will be evaluated the potential risks of both the inhabitants and their living conditions.
This campaign is part of an ongoing policy of prevention of public health carried out by the comuna, the same as that in the coming weeks will expand to other areas of the district.
The incidence of diseases such as influenza, dengue, and rotavirus, among others, is increased mainly in winter and affects mostly children and elderly.
