Mumps case confirmed in Latah County

A Latah County man in his fifties has recovered from a laboratory-confirmed case of the mumps.
"Generally in the state of Idaho we receive confirmed cases of two to seven cases, or at least that's what it's been over the last five to six years, so mumps is something that we don't always receive a lot of confirmations on," said Mike Larson, staff epidemiologist. "But it is an illness that is significant and we want people to be able to avoid it and not have a large number of people getting sick..."
