Burdwan: A
seven-year-old girl suffering from dengue died on Wednesday at Burdwan Medical College and Hospital, which officials said was the first such case in East Burdwan during the recent outbreak of the mosquito-borne disease in the state.
The deputy chief medical officer of East Burdwan, Sunetro Majumdar, said altogether 310 people with dengue had been admitted to different hospitals of the district but there had been no death until on Wednesday.

62-year-old woman who tested positive for dengue died on Wednesday. A resident of Ballygunge Circular Road, Sampat Devi Baid had been down with fever for the past few days. Locals expressed worry that the Aedes Aegypti, which carries the dengue virus, has started breeding in this posh locality.
As the fever refused to go down even after medication, her son Amit took her to Belle Vue Clinic on Wednesday. Doctors admitted her in the ICU around 4pm since her platelet count was extremely low. Her blood sample reports confirmed she was NS1 positive. The patient kept sinking and died around 11.30pm. On Thursday, when the state filed a report on dengue in Calcutta high court, Baid's family was performing her last rites.

Calcutta: Dengi dies again in the city. The youth of the year 35, a resident of Ward No. 128 of Bihala died in a private hospital in Alipore. The name of the deceased was Ripon Dhali. Family sources said he had been suffering from fever for the last 4 days. He was admitted to the hospital yesterday due to deterioration of the situation. He died today morning. The number of dengue cases in Mohali district has reached a new high surpassing the previous year?s cases. As of November 9, 2017, the Health Department had received 3,173 samples of suspected cases of dengue, of which 2,118 have tested positive.
Four deaths have been reported in the district.

age 23) of Koodativayal village in Pudukottai district. He was working at a cafe in Kottypinam area.
Jayaraman had a fever last few days. He was admitted to the Aranthangi Government Hospital. There was a symptom of dengue fever.
His parents allowed him to be admitted in a private hospital in Madurai. Last night Jayaraman died when he was treated.
Dengue flu has been spread over several months in various parts of Pudukottai district. Health officials took serious action and controlled dengue fever. Thereafter the impact of dengue fever was reduced. Jayaraman is currently suffering from dengue fever among the public. So the public demand that health officials should take appropriate action to prevent the spread of dengue fever.
