At least thirty-four people afflicted with suspected encephalitis have died in last two weeks at the government owned North Bengal Medical College and Hospital, according to its Principal Anup Kumar Roy.

Mr Roy told UNI over phone that suspected mosquito borne disease and other ailments have taken lives of 34 patients, who were admitted in this north Bengal premier medical facility a fortnight ago.
