Looking at the original text, looking at the context and looking at the source it seems to me this is obviously a typo: bird flu (flu burung) typed in stead of swine flu (flu babi). Typo's are not unusual, yesterday I saw an article referring to H1N5 .

The sentence says: by treating her (EK), the hospital has treated 2 patients. Next sentence in the report explains it again: first patient was ES , 2nd patient is EK. No other 2 patients.

My conclusion is: both patients were suspected to have "flu babi", the pilot ES is cleared, the woman EK was cleared in Korea, but doctors in Indonesia decided to treat her according to the book, because she has symptoms, and came back from the USA.

The protocol includes Tamiflu .

No other 2 patients with bird flu treated at the moment in this hospital. That is: not reported, in this report NO reference to bird flu patients. Nor in any other recent reports reference to bird flu patients currently treated here .

No dual infections suspected reported.

Liputan6.com, Bandung: the Healht Office of the Port of Kelas Ii Jayapura, Papua, found five ship passengers who were expected to be contaminated with pig flu in the border Wutung RI-Papua Nugini, on Saturday (16/5).

The five people that consist of two mature and three pre-schoolers had the temperature of the body above normal, that is 38 Celcius levels. They then will be quarantained and will be deported to his country, Papua Nugini.

Swine flu suspect discharged from hospital

"Based on the results of examinations by the Central Health Research and Development Agency, ES has been declared as suffering only from the common flu, not from swine flu that is caused by the Type A H1N1 virus. So today he has been allowed to return home," the chief of the team of doctors in charge of special infectious diseases at the hospital, Dr Hadi Jusuf, told ANTARA here on Saturday.

Hadi said to monitor ES`s health condition, the hospital had asked his family to continue watching over his health.

ES was referred to the hospital by a doctor at the local Husein Sastranegara airport on Tuesday, the team`s spokesman, Dr Primal Soedjana, said.

He said before being admitted to the hospital with suspected swine flu symptoms, ES had often traveled abroad , including to Singapore and Malaysia.

"His activities were marked by high mobility. He often traveled overseas and once had direct contact with a flu patient at one of the foreign airports," he said.

When he was examined he showed such symptoms as headache, running nose, sore throat, high fever and a quick heart beat, he said.(*)

Bandung, West Java ::: EK, an H1N1 suspect patient tested negative

Bandung, West Java ? Final laboratory result PCR (Polymerase Chain Reaction) of A/H1N1 suspect, EK (31), who is treated at Hasan Sadikin hospital (RSHS), showed negative A/H1N1. EK was stated as swine flu suspected patient before RSHS Bandung announce the final laboratory result from Research and Development Laboratory, Ministry of Health, Monday (18/5).

?According to final laboratory test and after internal meeting, EK is stated negative swine flu infection?, said dr Primal Sudjana, member of Special Infectious Disease Treatment Team, RSHS Bandung, Monday.

Primal also mentioned that patient was in an excellent medical condition and no more symptoms reported. Her conscious was also good, with blood pressure 117/73, pulse 70-78 and body temperature 36.6℃.

Patient was diagnosed to have ILI (Influenza-Like Illness) or common flu. Therefore, she will be discharged from isolation unit and can be visited by family members. Patient showed good medical record, she could have returned home soon. But the exact date ? when she will return home ? has not been decided.

About further medical care to the patient EK, Primal mentioned, they will coordinate this with other team members. ?Next prevention measure to take is providing and updating Tamiflu?, added Hadi.

According to the WHO, updated 17 May 2009, 8480 A/H1N1 swine flu cases have been confirmed in several countries
